I'm Paul Lammertsma, a 30-year-old freelance programmer and developer and a year student at the Utrecht University
's Institute of Information and Computing Sciences.
I was born in Homewood, Alabama on August 12th, 1984 to Koop and Cynthia Lammertsma. In 1993 I moved to Fairfax, VA for a year with my parents, which is only about 30 minutes from Washington D.C.
At the age of eleven, together with my parents and brother Eric, we moved to the Netherlands. We settled in the quiet town of Soest in central Holland, in the province of Utrecht.
My father, Koop Lammertsma
, is professor and the head of organic and inorganic chemistry at the Vrije Universiteit
in Amsterdam. Always striving for the best education for my brother and me, he applied us for one of the Netherlands' most respected public high schools, Het Baarnsch Lyceum
. Despite my initial difficulties with the language, I graduated in 2003.
I continued my interest in computer science at the Utrecht University's Institute of Information and Computing Sciences, where you'd be likely to see me nearly any day of the week. More information about my academics can be found on this page
Photography and cinematography interest me, and I pursue these passions as most I can. I also enjoy expanding and improving my websites and blog, and often do so in my free time.
